Life on Standby

"I don't think people are meant to be by themselves, that's why, if you actually find someone you care about... it's important to let go of the little things - even if you can't let go all the way. Because nothing sucks more than feeling all alone... no matter how many people are around you"

Don't you know that we're all alone now?

Had a bad couple of weeks. First and foremost is that I have been considered 'fully capable to work in my prior occupations', despite having 2 severely arthritic hands and a major back problem... and thats before we even touch upon a major case of alcoholism. Basically this means I have no incoming money... AT ALL!!

I have been to my GP this week to speak about my hands, back and.... yep, finally done it, my drink problem. I was offered medication to help the withdrawal symptoms but I turned it down. It's not medication I need, it's some kind of support. I have friends and family on my case about my alcohol intake but thats all they do, bitch about it... what kind of therapy is that??

One of the other shitty things that went wrong lately is that my car was hit by a bus... whilst parked outside my house no less. The damage is superficially not much but structural... who can tell??

The driver, who had a bus full of kids (it was a school run), didn't stop and didn't report it. It was only after I went down and informed the police that they tracked the route down. My insurance company have fixed me up with a brand new car that the bus company have to pay for until my claim is sorted. I hope they write my car off, I hate driving in any car that has been involved in an accident!

How's my band going I hear you (not) say? Absoloutely tremendous. As a foursome we click really well and on my pushing, have just obtained a PA system from an auction room for next to nothing. I do feel really positive about this project and to be honest, it's all I have going on in my life that is good. Should have some videos to post here soon!

The last few days Stacie, an ex of mine (who is living with her boyfriend who she has a baby to) has been texting and MSN'ing me wanting to go somewhere. I was going to take her (and Reece, her son) out today (just as a friend) but had to go and try and sort my income out so had to cancel... the result? 12 missed calls from her and 6 texts... because I left my Mobile at home... then I get an MSN message from her saying that she was going to leave her boyfriend for me!!

Women...sheesh!!!!!
