Life on Standby

"I don't think people are meant to be by themselves, that's why, if you actually find someone you care about... it's important to let go of the little things - even if you can't let go all the way. Because nothing sucks more than feeling all alone... no matter how many people are around you"

Come break me down, bury me, I am finished with you...

I'm not convinced that true justice in this world exists. It seems to me that the people who look out only for themselves, especially at the expense of others are the ones who have the benefits... money, companionship (even when they bitch about it all the time), friends...

So the family week away was pretty good. It was a well needed break and a good warm up for Lanzarote. We fly out two weeks tomorrow!

Had a weekend away at the Grand National for my sisters birthday. Was dwcwnt other than I had sunstroke the first day - again, the baldy dude doesn't learn that the sun is evil!!

Got quite a bit done on the house. Fruit patch is now bitchslapped and soil conditioner put in. Fruit has been transplanted so hopefully next year will be fruiting. I started cutting down the Rosa Rugosa bushes and jabbed my hand (through leather gloves no less) on one of the thorns... never thought anything of it until my knuckle swelled up and my hands went purple! Never went for a tetanus 'cos I am scared of needles!!!

New kitchen flooring was laid today making the kitchen look 100% better. Had a new bathroom suite fitted, just need to re-skim the walls, tile around bath area and fit an electric shower! New doors are being delivered and fitted tomorrow - this house is costing me sooooo much money and I am not even 5% of the way there!

Had a couple of weeks where I was managing my drinking - then they went out of the window. Doing a bit better again.
