Life on Standby

"I don't think people are meant to be by themselves, that's why, if you actually find someone you care about... it's important to let go of the little things - even if you can't let go all the way. Because nothing sucks more than feeling all alone... no matter how many people are around you"

Demolition is our religion, so light the fuse

I have half cast out my demon. I have had days when no alcohol has passed my lips... how? I hear your collective cry :-S

With the whole tonsillitis thing I was very feverish, so I took this as an opportunity to let myself suffer the withdrawals, and hardly noticed them. I am not fully 'on the wagon' yet as it's my bands first real gig on Wednesday and I know I will need some dutch (well, Russian) courage.

Went to the Newcastle leg of the Taste of Chaos tour last night. Five bands, The Blackout, Gallows, Aiden, Rise Against and The Used. Awesome night other than Gallows, a punk band from Watford in England. At one point, because a group of girls (some as young as 13) didn't like them, the lead singer spat in the face of one of them, then called her a 'bandy legged, ugly cunt'. Arrogant piece of trash and not very talented at that either!

Treat myself to a new LCD HD Television and an Xbox 360 as a reward and an incentive to go sober. Had most of the repairs done on my car so she should be on the road again soon. Things are looking up a bit.

My Christmas shopping is officially finished - YAY!

Dude, those are exactly what I want for xmas!! Took some effort to resist blowing a whole bunch of cash at the post-thanksgiving sales (the biggest sales of the year here). Decided to keep saving until I can afford a 50" plasma.

That 360 is calling to me though...

G, I was offered the TV I got from a friend of mine who buys and sells white goods on Ebay and it was _very_ cheap. Granted it's only a 32" but in my new place, space is a premium so it fits perfect. Can't say I was ever a fan of the 360 'til I actually played some games in HD, makes a big difference, now I am Mr Gates' whore!

Canny, thanks for the positive words, I feel like a different person now that I am not reliant on alcohol. treat Christmas like I treat my addiction, one step at a time dude :-)
